Welcome to my website, and in case you’ve arrived here accidentally, I’m Christina Jones: award-winning writer of bucolic frolic romantic comedy novels, life-long animal lover, part-time barmaid, obsessive Chelsea supporter, happy-go-lucky trucker’s wife and proud but befuddled mum.

My new book – HEAVEN SENT (see new book page) – will be out in paperback in November 2007. It’s a follow-on to the mad-village/practical-magic shenanigans in HUBBLE BUBBLE, SEEING STARS and LOVE POTIONS, but it also stands alone, so you don’t need to read the others first – although I’d love it if you did…

HEAVEN SENT not only has the prettiest cover in the world, but the theme is one of my own particular passions – fireworks. I love fireworks so much that Rob and I got married on November 5th and had a firework wedding (fireworks, fish and chips and champagne on the village green) which inspired HEAVEN SENT. It’s the story of amateur firework maker Clemmie (from Love Potions) and her adventures with the gloriously unconventional pyrotechnician Guy Devlin (Hubble Bubble, Seeing Stars, Love Potions) at his firework display company, The Gunpowder Plot, and what happens when they discover the ancient formula for an unimaginably beautiful magical firework that can make dreams come true.

The other lovely thing (at least for me!) about HEAVEN SENT is that Guy and Clemmie become involved with characters from my previous books – so if you’ve ever wondered what happened to Maddy and Drew, and Jemima and Charlie from GOING THE DISTANCE and JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS, or Lola and Ellis, and Posy and Flynn from TICKLED PINK – all will be revealed in HEAVEN SENT…

I also write short stories and serials for magazines, and allegedly amusing articles for newspapers – and yes, for those who have asked, I am the same Christina Jones who features in the adverts for THE WRITERS BUREAU (www.writersbureau.com). Since completing the Writers Bureau course, I’ve had 16 novels published - so, if you have aspirations to become a writer please visit their site – they changed my life and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
